Omaha Azure User Group Meeting – September’2023

Our meeting for September’2023 took place on 20th September, starting at 6 PM central time. It was an in-person event hosted at – Kiewit (12720 I St, Omaha, NE 68137).

Food and drinks were provided by our sponsor 15-20 minutes before the meeting start time. Our sponsor also did several giveaways, including a mechanical keyboard, a coffee warmer, and a Bluetooth Speaker.

Topic: Using Azure Policy to enforce standards
Azure Policy helps you manage and prevent IT issues with policy definitions that enforce rules and effects for your resources. Azure Policy helps to enforce organizational standards and to assess compliance at scale. In this demo-heavy presentation, we will go through demos on using Azure Policy to enforce organization standards, view resource compliance, and remediate or exempt Non-compliant resources.

Santosh Anampalli is currently working with Kiewit as a Cloud Architect. In his current role, he works on Cloud strategy, Architecture Patterns Practices, and Governance across Cloud environments.  He has been working in IT for around 20 years and on Azure Cloud for more than 8 years. He holds an MS in CIS from Bellevue University.
